Fitting

Alloy wheel and tyre fitting in Reading and Manchester

Drive in on your old wheels. Drive out on a Rogue set that has been fitted, balanced and signed off by the team that built it.

We fit about ten sets a day at our Reading showroom, and every slot is booked to a specific van. Call to book, then wait for us to confirm before you travel.

On the day

What to bring, and what you leave with

Bring

  • Your locking wheel nut key, left on the passenger seat, so we can take your old wheels off.
  • If your locking nuts have seized, have them removed before your visit.
  • Tell us before the day if your van has been up-plated or changed from factory spec.
  • If your van has tyre pressure sensors (TPMS), tell us when you book.

Leave with

  • Your Rogue wheels and tyres, fitted and balanced.
  • New bolts or nuts, a locking set and its key. Keep the key safe: replacements are tricky.
  • A signed certificate confirming the fitting, with your tyre pressures, torque settings and how to look after your wheels.

Fitment

Every set is built for one van

You tell us your van, and your registration if you have it to hand. We check the stud pattern, the centre bore and your front and rear axle load ratings, then build a set that goes straight on. No cutting, no rubbing, no lift kit.

A few vans need one more check. On a Citroen Relay, Fiat Ducato or Peugeot Boxer we may ask you to confirm 5x118 or 5x130 before we ship. On a VW Crafter or Amarok, MAN TGE, Ford Ranger, Mercedes Vito or Ford Transit Custom we may ask whether your van has TPMS. Keep an eye on your email after you order.

After your fitting

Re-torque after 30 miles

New fixings settle as you drive, so check your bolt torque after the first 30 miles. That check is yours to make, and our structural warranty doesn't cover damage caused by bolts that weren't re-torqued. Your figure is on your fitting certificate.

Changed all four tyres? We also advise getting your wheel alignment checked, to catch any problem that was there before.

Fitting questions

How much does fitting cost?

Call the showroom on 0118 405 0166 for the current price. Fitting in Manchester costs the same as in Reading.

Can I just turn up?

To browse, yes. To have wheels fitted, no. We fit about ten sets a day and every slot is booked to a specific van, so we need to confirm yours first.

I've ordered for delivery. Can a local garage fit them?

Yes, but don't book the garage until the wheels have arrived. Take the pallet jobsheet with you: it has your torque settings and fitting details.

Should I fit the wheels myself?

We'd always recommend a professional fitting. We know these set-ups well and can clear up any confusion over your van's spec. Unless you have the right tools and have done it before, please don't. The bolts or nuts must be tightened to your van's figure with a torque wrench, and we can't be responsible for fitting errors made away from our approved fitting sites.

Do I need a wheel alignment afterwards?

Not always. When all four tyres change, we advise getting the alignment checked, to catch any existing problem.

I have locking wheel nuts on my current wheels. What do I do?

Leave the key on the passenger seat so we can remove them. If they've seized, have them removed before your visit.
